These terms explain how buying and using a ticket on OTS works. They are a draft and will change before launch.
Who we are
OTS (Outside the System) sells tickets to events in Egypt. The service is run by [Company legal name], [Registration number], [Registered address]. You can reach us at [Support email].
Each event is run by its organizer. The organizer sets the event details, the price and the entry rules; OTS sells and checks the tickets.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time code that we email to you. You need access to that email address to use your account.
The name you give us is printed on your tickets. Use your full name as it appears on your ID: the gate may check the ticket name against your ID.
Buying tickets
- Payments are processed by Paymob: by card (Visa, Mastercard, Meeza), by mobile wallet, or in cash at an Aman or Masary kiosk.
- Choosing tickets holds the seats for you for 10 minutes while you pay. If you choose cash at a kiosk, the hold lasts 2 hours. When a hold ends, the seats are released.
- A ticket exists only after the payment provider confirms your payment to us. Being sent back to our site after paying is not confirmation.
- Each event has a per-person limit, shown on the event page. It counts tickets you own, seats you are holding, and tickets friends have sent you.
- Prices are in Egyptian pounds (EGP). The event page shows the ticket price; taxes and fees ([Taxes and fees rate, currently 17%, to be confirmed by the company]) are added at the payment step, where the full total is shown before you pay.
- If your payment arrives after your hold ended, or the amount does not match the order, no ticket is issued and the payment is refunded. See the refund page.
Entry codes
- Your entry code is released to you, the ticket owner, in My tickets from 24 hours before doors. Before that, the page shows a countdown.
- The code is a QR code that changes every 30 seconds. A screenshot or a forwarded picture stops working after about 30 seconds.
- After you open the ticket page once with a connection, the ticket works on your phone without signal.
- Keep your ticket and your account to yourself. Anyone who has your code can try to use your ticket, and the first scan is the one that counts.
Getting in
- One ticket admits one person, once. The first valid scan wins; later scans of the same ticket are refused.
- The name on the ticket may be checked against your ID. The organizer's entry rules and age limit, shown on the event page, apply. [Organizer entry rules to be confirmed]
Transfers
- You can send a ticket to a friend from My tickets. They need an OTS account with the email address you enter.
- A transfer cancels your ticket and issues a new ticket with a new code to your friend. It cannot be undone.
- Transfers close when entry opens, 2 hours before doors. After that, whoever holds the ticket uses it at the gate.
- The per-person limit also applies to the person receiving the ticket.
Not allowed
Do not try to get around the limits, holds, payment checks or entry checks, and do not use scripts or bots to buy tickets. [Consequences for misuse, to be confirmed by the company]
